Njammies Quick Answers – Fresh Fruit Chewies
Fresh fruit, with a little bounce.
Our Fresh Fruit Chewies start with real fresh fruit, blended with gelatine, shaped and then slowly air-dried.
They’re soft, fruity and a little different — just as Njammies intended.
Fresh Fruit Chewies Quick Answers
How do we make our Fresh Fruit Chewies?
We blend fresh fruit with gelatine, pour the mixture into little moulds and leave it to set. Once firm, the Chewies are removed from their moulds and slowly air-dried for around three days. We check them before packing each batch.
What are Fresh Fruit Chewies made from?
Fresh fruit and gelatine — that's the simple base. The fruit brings its own colour, flavour and natural sweetness, so we don't need to add artificial colours or flavours.
Why do we use gelatine?
Gelatine helps the blended fruit set and gives our Chewies their soft, chewy texture. It also helps them hold their little shapes while they slowly air-dry.
Why do they take several days to make?
Once the Chewies have set and come out of their moulds, we let them air-dry slowly for around three days. This helps develop their chewy texture. We don't rush the process — they're ready when they're ready.
How should I store my Fresh Fruit Chewies?
Keep them sealed in their packet or in an airtight container, in a cool, dry place away from heat and moisture. Once opened, close the packet well again — these little Chewies don't particularly enjoy sitting around in the open air.
How soon should I enjoy my Fresh Fruit Chewies?
Our Fresh Fruit Chewies contain no preservatives, so they're made to be enjoyed fresh. Once you open the packet, enjoy them within the next few days and keep them well sealed between visits.
