Njammies Quick Answers – Sweets

Sweet, just not the usual kind.

Njammies Sweets are made a little differently. Fruit, seeds, grains, nuts and homemade chocolate do the talking here — with simple ingredients, interesting textures and flavours that don't need to shout.

Some are chewy, some are crunchy, some are chocolatey. They're simply our idea of something sweet.

Sweets Quick Answers

How are Njammies Sweets different?

We don't try to make our Sweets taste like conventional sweets. We let ingredients such as fruit, seeds, grains, nuts, honey and homemade chocolate bring their own sweetness, flavour and texture. The result may be less sweet than you're used to — and that's exactly how we like them.

Why aren't they as sweet as ordinary sweets?

Because we're not trying to recreate the intense sweetness of conventional sweets. The sweetness comes from ingredients such as fruit, honey, coconut sugar or our homemade chocolate, depending on the recipe. You may notice the flavours and textures first, with the sweetness following along rather than taking over.

Why can the texture change?

Real ingredients can change as they sit. Some of our Sweets may be softer or chewier when fresh and become firmer or crisper over time. A little variation between batches is natural too — texture is part of the character of these small-batch treats.

How are our Sweets made?

Each one has its own little process. Some are shaped in moulds, some are baked until they hold together, and some get a little extra drying time for the texture we're after. We make them in small batches and let each recipe tell us when it's ready.

How should I store my Njammies Sweets?

Keep them well sealed in their packet or in an airtight container, somewhere cool and dry. Heat and moisture can change their texture, so close the packet properly after every visit and enjoy them while they're fresh.

What makes our Njammies Sweets different?

Sesame Banana Smooches are made from banana and sesame seeds. They're shaped and baked, then given a little extra drying time — chewy when fresh and becoming crisper as they dry.

Millet Moon Balls bring puffed millet together with our homemade chocolate, made with cocoa butter, coconut sugar, dark cocoa and vanilla, with a little chocolate drizzle to finish.

Coconut Almond Rocks combine coconut flakes, almond, sunflower seeds and honey, then bake into wonderfully rustic little clusters. They're called Rocks for a reason — neat and perfectly shaped was never part of the plan.
